Italy Golden Visa Requirements

  1. Investor Visa Program
    Applicants can choose from the following investment options:
    • Invest a minimum of EUR 2 million in Italian government bonds.
    • Invest at least EUR 500,000 in Italian shares (or EUR 250,000 if funding innovative startups).
    • Contribute EUR 1 million in public interest projects, such as those in culture, education, ecology, research and development, or heritage. This is a non-refundable donation.

The investment must be maintained throughout the visa’s validity. Immediate family members, such as the spouse, children, and dependent parents, may apply without making additional investments.

  1. Elective Residence Program
    This option is suitable for individuals who can prove a stable income from abroad. The income threshold must meet the minimum required for the applicant to qualify for residency under this program.

Italy Golden Visa Procedure

  • Pisa Duration & Renewal: Initially granted for two years, the Italy Golden Visa is renewable for another three years, provided the investment remains intact.
  • Processing Time: The entire visa application process generally takes between 90 and 120
  • Investment Requirements: Investors must complete their investment within three months of entering Italy.
  • Investor Visa Program: Under this program, investors are required to purchase or lease residential real estate in Italy after their application has been approved.
  • Elective Residence Program: Applicants need to show proof of stable income and secure residential real estate following approval.
  • Permanent Residence: Investors may apply for permanent residency after five years, provided they have resided in Italy during this period.
